Each day has two potential golden hours, the first and last hour of direct sunlight. The term does NOT mean that everything looks golden, it means that the perfect lighting conditions for photography exist during that time. However, sometimes when conditions are just right, that low, flat sunlight reacts with the moisture and dust in the air to actually create a golden hue. This was taken June 20, 2017, near the outflow area of the fishing hole where some marshy ground creates a haze. I used no filters, no software tricks to tweak the color. For one golden minute during the golden hour, this was the way the world looked.
